MYTH’s Story

Myth led a nomadic childhood. Wherever they travelled, the constant was finding community in theatre and music groups where they developed as a singer and multi instrumentalist. Myth’s work on lead vocals and electric bass was first featured on the Celtic band Roisin Dubh’s fifth album, mastered by Abbey Road Studios. Myth also sang in the Bach Children’s Chorus of Rochester NY, performing in such venues as Fenway Park and Carnegie Hall.

At seventeen, Myth made their first transcontinental move to study Literature and History at the University of Edinburgh. Though a love of reading, writing and research endures in their creative work, they soon knew they had strayed from their path as a performance artist. From Scotland they moved to New York City where they trained professionally at the American Academy of Dramatic Arts’ two year conservatory, playing the title role in Shakespeare’s Henry V and graduating with the prestigious Charles Jehlinger Award for artistry and professionalism.

Returning to the UK, Myth attended RADA’s renowned Shakespeare intensive program, playing both Macbeth and King Lear’s Fool.

Amidst their artistic education they also worked on an organic farm and set out on a long distance solo hike across Scotland.

Along with recent commercial work in NYC, Myth has been involved in readings of new and classic plays at The Actors Studio and Soho Shakespeare Company, also working on camera with MFA students at Columbia Film School.
